Phenomenal Woman

Published April 22, 2016 by etain1

Being your own unique self is pure beauty. As Maya Angelou states “Phenomenal Woman That’s Me” …. I am Phenomenal Woman. My spiritual path is Pagan. I know that scares the heck out of many however that is their fears not mine. My path is my path and I don’t expect others to understand why – what I do expect is that they allow me to be who I am supposed to be. I am grateful I live where I have a choice.

Embrace …..

If you don’t like what you have, do, be, know, think, say ect then change. We are able to change. Stop being so hard on yourself – we all make mistakes. Be open to change, embrace change. Be the person that you want to be not the person that others want you to be.

Youer Than You

I love reading quotes from Dr. Seuss. When I read this Youer than You quote I knew I had to create a picture to go along with it. Some days you just have to be your own best friend and dress, act, say and be who you want to be ….. Yourer than You! I admire people that have the guts to be their authentic self …. to have their own style, own thoughts, and can dance to their own beat. Yup – this is who I have been for many years and I find people either really like me or not. Doesn’t matter because I am comfortable being who I am. I like who I am.

Staying Positive My Friend

Published April 22, 2016 by etain1

Over the years I have learned how important it is to stay around people that are positive and uplifting. Negative energy sucks the life right out of me. We all have times when the stress and negativity soaks right in and hits our core making us feel awful. We have 2 choices – be positive or be negative – I work hard at staying positive. I try to find some good in situations and believe me sometimes it is really difficult to achieve this goal.

I chose to be around people that build me up, support me, instead of hanging around people that make me feel worthless. You have a choice who you hang around with – stay positive my friend.

To The Moon

Don’t set limitations, believe in Magick – the thinkers had a vision to travel to the moon and they let no limitations hinder their vision. Footprints on the Moon! Believe in yourself and work for what you really want. Believe in Magick – if you don’t believe in Magick you will never see it.

Be grateful that you have a mind that can think, explore, and plan. Don’t let others talk you out of your dreams. Think outside the box and go for it. One of my favorite  motivational reminders is: ” I want it, I have said it, I have put it in writing and I will do the work”. Yes, you have to take the steps necessary to reach your goals. You have what it takes.

Who You Are

So many people struggle with “Who am I”. The question is a baffling one for sure but it does not have to be. Why is it so difficult for people to listen to their inner voice? If you take the time to listen you will learn all that you need to know.

When you are in alignment with the plan the universe has for you and you pay attention to your inner voice you will feel at peace. That nagging feeling that things are just not right will disappear as long as you hold to the theory of harm none.

What is your passion? What makes you come alive and smile? What do you engage in and realize that you have lost all sense of time. What makes you happy?

Mine is my artwork.

I love my journaling – it is connected with my soul searching journey that I am on. Some times I pick a word or phrase that I want to incorporated in my day – this comes from my gut / inner voice. I then look for quotes that will help solidify the feelings that are flowing through me. If I can’t find a quote I always have the option of writing my own or to create a poem. I then draw a picture to tie it all together.

Many people are enjoying the new rage of Adult coloring books and all I can say is GOOD FOR THEM. They are finding out what I have known for years, just how calming, almost meditative coloring can be. It allows that inner child to come out and play. You let go of the mundane world and slip into pure bliss.

My journaling keeps me grounded. It keeps me alert. It helps me sort out the events of the day so I can see  clarity to my feelings and reactions. To see lessons I need to learn. It reminds me to always try to color my world with kindness. I love my process.
