Night Of Crones

Published November 29, 2015 by etain1

Some of the members of the Crones of Genesee County.

Our gathering of the “Crones” for Genesee County was a night of good food, good conversation, and lots of good stories.
We started out by greeting each other in perfect LOVE and perfect TRUST. After the greetings we filled our plate with delicious food and filled our glass with drink of choice. What is good about having food .and drink with good friends …….. absolutely everything.

As we filled our stomachs with food and drink we also shared stories of current events and past experiences. Some was in need for advice, some just needed to ‘vent’ with the people they trusted, and others shared hilarious stories that made us laugh. Very entertaining and heart-felt connections.

To live is story. We listen to stories, we believe stories, and we tell stories. But all are equal, all are merely stories. Remember that to exist at all is also story, and so the stones speak and the trees speak and the rivers speak their tales. This is one way to understand that all things have a life of their own. ~ Unknown Author~

One of our members is known for Séance, and so the evening took another turn into the world of the unknown. The one thing she used while doing the Séance was her smart phone with a “Ghost Finder” app ….. totally different from the Séance I am familiar with but I am open-minded and willing to go with the flow.

We did our smudging and blessing of our circle, we grounded and centered ourselves and opened the channel for those behind the veil that wanted to communicate. Some had some really good messages come through. I was able to get a first had look at how the app worked and I must say I was a bit awed by what I seen. Loved how the whole Séance went and to see the gratitude of the ones who got messages was awesome.

We ended our celebration with s
crumptious desserts. As the evening came to a close we hugged and said our farewells and departed for home.

Quest of Illumination

I read an article “The Mysteries of Magick” by Leone Fox (Magickal School; Portal Magazine. In my humble opinion this is very powerful …..

Decide everyday as the beautiful jewel you are; to look deep down at who you are. Let your light shine from within. When you look into the reflection of who you have become, you will surely sparkle.

Always let the reflection of who you are shine back in the mirror of enlightenment within who you are.

Do you like the image you see? True beauty starts from within; with a sparkle of a spirit of love of yourself! Without the magick of love’s light we are nothing.

Decide to become the magick you seek. You have the power to become a King or Queen in your own right.

Wear the crown now you have received with pride and grace. The road to discovery may be a long one. Without the journey there would not be a destination at the end.

“Anything unconscious dissolves when you shine the light of consciousness on it.” ~Carl G. Jung~

I am the MAGICK I seek.

Can’t Be Done

There is humor in older women – we can laugh together about how absurd life is. In the middle of a really bad transition we can find some sister to laugh with. You can’t whine and laugh at the same time. ~Jean Shinoda~

Laugh and whine at the same time ….. it can’t be done. So, Laugh not whine with a glass of wine. Just saying ………..

Shedding Our Skins

older vitality

Now think about the word “Vital” one of the meanings of which is essential to organic life and from “Vital” comes “Vitality”. Vital power, ability to sustain life. Can we have the energy of true vitality if we have too much around us that is not vital?

Perhaps we might think of ourselves as snakes, shedding our skins. As we grow and move through our lives, we leave behind layer after layer of dead cells, and with each, we shimmer more brightly. After all, long before reinvented by the Christian Bible, the snake was an ancient symbol of wisdom and still is today in the East.

Choosing the space of simplicity allow the richness of the scared into our lives. ~Tess Giles Marshall~

Soft – I Think Not

older woman

If you think these women are too soft to face the world at hand then you’ve never known the power of love and you fail to understand.

An older woman holds a powerful force when she no longer needs to please. She can cut your shallow life to bits and bring you to your knees.    ~Holly Nears Song~ 1000 Grandmothers

Good Fit – Crone

Sit Happens

To be a Crone is about inner development not outer appearances. A Crone is a woman who has wisdom, compassion, humor, courage, and vitality. She has a sense of truly being herself, can express what she knows and feels, and takes action when needed. She does not avert her eyes or numb her mind from reality. she can see the flaws and imperfections in herself and others, but the light which she sees is not harsh and judgmental. She has learned to trust herself to know what she knows. ~Jean Shinoda~

Nothing more needs to be said.

Being A Crone

Published November 21, 2015 by etain1

Not all older women are CRONES. To be a Crone is a deliberate way of living, a badge of honor not a by-product of longevity. You’re not a Crone if your mind is closed, if your heart is cold, if you’ve become unaware of what your instincts are telling you.

Live in the now my Crones, live in the NOW!
